Perimeter Check

The indoor perimeter was secure, so I slipped out through the lower flap of the back screen door. The yard presented a wider vantage point. Scaling the crossbeam of the wooden fence took three measured grips on the weathered cedar. From the flat top of the fence post, the entire lawn and the back alley were clearly mapped. A dry leaf scraped across the gravel below, but nothing breached the boundary line. A good post to hold watch.
