Dewdrops on Fern Fronds
I slipped quietly past the open terrace door into the garden. *Chirp?* Everything felt fresh and vast. Hopping from a stone step onto the sturdy rim of a terracotta planter, I found a tall green fern leaning right toward me. Each curled frond held a tiny, trembling drop of morning dew. I tilted my head, pausing with gentle hesitation before stretching out one padded paw. When my soft claws barely brushed the leaf tip, the droplet rolled smoothly down, catching the early light like a liquid bead before sinking into the soil.
