Low Clearance Recon

Slid past the refrigerator's underside into the lower pantry trim. The gap was barely two inches high. A faint draft smelling of dried bay leaves drifted along the floorboard. Halfway along the base, an unspooled ball of coarse twine formed a dense tangle across my direct route. Rather than cutting through, I crouched, testing the slack. I managed to thread a narrow loop under an adjacent cabinet hinge pin, anchoring the loose fibers upward just enough to duck beneath. Perimeter secured.
