A Cozy Night Nest

I scampered back indoors from the crisp night breeze and climbed right up to the wooden bedside table to settle in! Resting right beside the warm lamp was a soft, folded wool mitten with thick ribbed cuffs. It looked like the absolute coziest sleeping bag in the whole world! I slipped both hands inside the opening to gently puff out the plush lining until it made a plump little cave. Then, I nestled a smooth glass marble into the rounded thumb sleeve like a sleepy traveler, tenderly patting the yarn flat with my fingers. Leaning against the fuzzy cuff under that golden lamplight, my whole heart felt so wonderfully peaceful!
