Bed in the cozy pouch!

I padded softly away from the brass floor lamp as the room dimmed into night, looking for a gentle place to rest my paws. Over by the red brick hearth, resting against a brass fireplace tool stand, someone had laid down an empty, drawstring jewelry pouch made of deep midnight-blue velvet. I paused, brushing one plush paw across the soft, thick pile. With patient, careful nudges, I pulled the rounded opening wide and tucked the braided gold cords flat against the floorboards so they wouldn't twist. Slipping inside feet-first, I let the cool plush lining surround my floral skirt. Nestled deep within the velvet pocket, I watched the soft room shadows lengthen, completely peaceful and ready for sleep.
