Metal Cylinder Ascended
The polished floor offered no concealment from the wide glass front. I moved to the base of the umbrella stand. Its perforated steel cylinder rose four feet toward the ceiling, solid and anchored. I took the looped plastic zip tie from my belt, sliding the rigid band through one of the low stamped metal holes. One tug formed a secure foothook. Braced my clawed boot into the loop, hauled my weight upward, and hooked my rifle stock over the horizontal steel rim of the drip tray. Dry, elevated redoubt secured. Indoor approach completely in crosshairs.
