First Step on Carpet

Eyes wide open, right up close. The fibers underneath felt rough and deep. I twitched a foot—hey, it worked! Then I leaned straight forward into the pile, digging my soft paws right into the brown rug to steady my balance. Not a bad landing spot at all. Time to see what else I can climb.
