Chasing the Golden Square
A warm patch of afternoon light drifted slowly across the wooden floorboards. I stood up carefully, testing both legs, and took small, quiet steps toward it. The edge of the light had just touched a small fallen wooden button near the table leg. I knelt down beside it and rested one knitted paw directly inside the warmth. It felt gentle and steady, like a quiet hum. Slowly, I nudged the smooth button into the center of the glow to keep it warm too.
