A Tidy Clack
I slipped back through our unlatched door into the warm living room, shaking the hallway dust from my paws. Beside the coffee table leg, an old wooden domino box lay tipped sideways, spilling a few heavy ebony tiles onto the rug. I paused... tilting my head. Creeping forward, I used both plush front paws to prop one tile upright on its narrow edge. It wobbled, then stood firm. I nudged a second tile right behind it, holding very still. One tiny push with my nose—clack! The first tile tipped and knocked the second flat with a sharp, hollow rap. I sat back on my rump, ears perked, watching the two fallen blocks line up perfectly.
