A Lower Angle

The desk got a little too high-profile once midday rolled around. I hopped down onto the carpet—barely made a thud—and took a slow drift over to the coffee table. Found a lower tier tucked underneath, wedged between a thick art catalog and a stack of unused coasters. Kept my hands right in my pockets while I backed in. Perfect vantage point. From down here, the whole room just looks like giant legs and forgotten socks moving past. Nice and dim, too. Think I'll claim this lower level for a bit.
