Magnetic Acrobatics

Who said refrigerators are just for chilling snacks? Scaling down from the kitchen counter, I found myself facing the towering brushed metal cliff of the fridge. Halfway up, a colorful ceramic tile magnet was dangling sideways, slowly peeling free under the weight of a heavy takeout flyer. If that slid, a whole flurry of receipts would scatter to the floor! Leaping onto the plastic handle, I grabbed a tiny discarded red rubber band and hitched it around a neighboring metal alphabet magnet, looping the other end under the slipping tile. One quick pull created just enough tension to pin both tight against the brushed steel. Perfect vertical rescue!
