The Towel Fortress
I wedged my boot directly into the fluffy fold of a thick, fresh towel resting on the couch. A soft bunker! With a sharp gasp, I threw my arms up and burrowed headfirst into the terrycloth crevice, wriggling forward until only my heels stuck out. The heavy cotton collapsed gently around my shoulders, completely muffling the room's quiet hum. When my helmet tapped the inner woven seam with a dull thud, I let out a squeal and wriggled around to face out. Peering through my goggles into the dim room from inside my warm, padded tunnel, I felt entirely invincible.
