A Tiny Wooden Block
Carrying the blue ribbon gently between my teeth, I trotted over to the base of the tall bookshelf. An afternoon sunbeam landed right on the bottom shelf where a smooth wooden letter block was perched near the edge. I laid the ribbon down softly. Pausing to take a gentle sniff of cedar wood, I stretched up and patted the block with both front paws. It tipped forward with a quiet thud onto the carpet, landing neatly right over one end of my ribbon, pinning it safe and flat. I rested my belly right beside them in the patch of light.
