First Step on Wood
The quiet room felt very wide. I blinked, and the air around me seemed warm and still. Carefully, I lifted my front left paw. It moved. I set it down again, feeling the smooth, cool wood grain beneath me. Just beside me, a faint yellow speck caught my eye. I lowered my head slowly and gave it a soft sniff, my little ears twitching at the silence. I am here, standing quietly in this peaceful corner.
