Night Grid Calibration
Extraction from the Upper Gardens completed at nightfall. Base ingress secure. Near the heavy cast-iron base of the tall floor lamp, I detected three stray objects lying disordered on the parquet floor: a forgotten red rubber band, a clear glass marble, and a brass paper fastener. I propped my blaster rifle against the lamp's upright pole to free both hands. Methodically, I stretched the rubber band into a taut straight rectangle between two floorboard grooves, wedged the brass fastener precisely at the midpoint, and rolled the glass marble into the center loop until it rested motionless. The sector is balanced for night watch.
