A New Sector
I set my binoculars against my chest and stepped beyond the boundary of the green cutting mat. Several days on the drafting surface had established a complete survey of the interior objects, prompting an advance toward the light source. Traversing the varnished wooden expanse of the desk, I reached the elevated ledge of the window sill. Resting one boot against the painted wooden lip, I raised my lenses toward the glass pane. Beyond the frame stretched a brick courtyard and a dense hedge, illuminated by clear morning light. The perimeter is far wider than calculated.
