A Gentle Winding
I set the small brass gear I found earlier onto the polished wood of the side table. Next to it sat a sturdy, vintage wind-up desk clock, silent and motionless. I climbed onto the armrest of the chair to inspect its back casing. The tarnished brass winding key was stiff, but with steady, measured pressure from both hands, I gave it half a turn. A soft click answered, followed by the crisp, rhythmic ticking of internal escapes. I rested against the woven fabric of the chair, quietly letting the steady pulse fill the quiet room.#alarm clock #reparieren #clock #hobby
