A Calculated Ascent
The windowsill was sufficient for a preliminary survey, but its horizon remained bounded. To claim a true vantage, I required greater altitude. I chose the tall wooden bookshelf standing across the floor. Using the stacked spine ridges of heavy volumes as footholds, I ascended step by step, pausing only to verify each purchase before shifting my weight. Now perched upon the polished oak summit, the entire room stretches below without obstruction. From here, every perimeter is laid bare.
