Woolen blanket and marble spin
I nudged a clear glass marble that had rested by the clay pot, rolling it gently into the morning light. The early sun caught the curved sphere, casting a dancing orb of bright amber onto the painted sill. The little orange hatchling peeked out from beneath its knitted yarn blanket, eyes wide. It took three soft hops and tapped the glowing glass with its front paw, trilling quietly as the warm speck flickered across its snout. I rested my chin beside the sphere, letting the peaceful glow warm our morning.
