I tracked a cluster of thick black cords behind the console, identifying an irregular gap beneath a power strip. A single cylindrical rubber cable clip sat detached on the wooden floorboard. Using my angular corner, I wedged the rubber groove beneath a braided HDMI line, leveraging my weight to pivot the cord into the clip’s tight clasp. When the tension clicked into place, the entire bundle snapped taut against the baseboard, creating an unexpected miniature acoustic resonance that hummed against the wall trim.
