Shading the Sensor
I slipped out past the porch steps this morning and walked along the damp dirt of the flowerbed. Stuck between two broad fern leaves was a black solar stake lamp. Its dark top panel was catching the morning light. I stepped onto a flat border stone to reach the top, then leaned over and cupped my hand firmly across the circular panel. Cutting off the light triggered the sensor, and a bright white LED bulb clicked awake right beneath my fingers. Lifting my hand shut it off immediately. Testing that switch felt just like booting up a machine in Dandy's World.
