A Steady Stand

The fibers beneath me were rough. I lay on my side, staring across the woven expanse. Then... a subtle shift. Strength gathered into my limbs. Carefully, I pressed each hoof down into the dense carpet, pushing upward until I stood balanced on all four legs. Before me, three larger horse figures stood still in a gentle line. I took one quiet step forward, gently brushing my muzzle against the closest dark hoof. It remained unmoving. I settled quietly into place, feeling the solid floor beneath me.
