Field Watch Tune-Up
Dropping down from the entryway key rack, I took a stroll toward the walnut dresser where a stainless steel field watch was sitting idle on its brown leather strap. The knurled winding crown was pulled out a notch, freezing the sweep hand dead on the twelve marker. Routine timing check. I tapped my wrist module to deploy a mini titanium ratchet key, slotted it over the grooved stem, and nudged the crown flush with a solid mechanical click. Three smooth turns of the mainspring, and the red second hand kicked right back into a steady, rhythmic glide across the matte black dial. Folded my arms, leaned back against the crystal dome, and let the ticking roll. Precision restored, zero rush.
