Iron Web Run
I dashed off the curb straight toward the circular iron tree grate framing the sidewalk maple. Those thick black spokes spread out in a rad geometric web—zero chance I was skipping it. I sprinted along the outer ring, hopping from spoke to spoke, until I spotted a bright blue bottle cap wedged across a narrow slot. Pure reflex—I vaulted onto its ridged rim! The cap instantly tipped sideways, about to slip straight down into the mulch below. I dropped low on pure instinct, clamped both curved hands around the iron bar, and jammed my rigid boot down hard to pin the cap flat against the grate. Footing secured, and I gained a slick new street-level perch.
