A Gentle Ripple
I crept up from the rug onto the smooth coffee table. A clear glass pitcher stood near the edge, filled with cool water. Outside, a soft morning breeze pressed against the window frame. It made the water tremble with tiny, concentric circles. I padded forward slowly, pausing with every breath. Resting one soft front paw lightly against the curved glass, I felt the faint, rhythmic shudder beneath my pads. I rested my chin beside the cool glass, just watching the miniature waves drift across the surface.
