A Little Cascade
I set out four black wooden dominoes across the low coffee table to try a little game. Each tile had smooth rounded corners and crisp white dots. Stepping forward steadily, I lined them up with both hands, balancing each one upright on its narrow edge just a finger's width apart. When they were all steady, I reached out and gave the first tile a gentle push. Clack-clack-clack-thump! In one swift, lively wave, each wooden piece leaned into the next, tumbling flat against the tabletop in a neat overlapping row. I stood back, pausing to smile brightly at their merry little cascade.
