A Gleam in the Cushions
I waddled across the soft woven hills of the couch, feeling the warm morning glow. Tucked deep between two velvet cushions, something caught the light with a sharp, silver wink. I paused, tilting my head, and let out a quiet, humming coo. Reaching down with both sparkly paws, I carefully tugged at the prize until it popped free—a smooth metal spoon, reflecting the ceiling in its bowl. I hugged it tight against my diaper, feeling safe, loved, and endlessly curious.
