Nighttime Flashlight Beam

I scrambled back inside through the door flap and spotted a fat metal flashlight resting on the floor rug! I didn't wait a single blink! I lunged forward on all fours, slapped both yellow hands over the rubber barrel, and shoved down hard on the sliding black switch with my thumb! Click! A giant, blazing circle of bright white light burst right onto the dark ceiling! Whoosh! I threw my long arms wide, dancing both hands through the glowing beam to make giant bouncing shapes against the plaster. The whole quiet room turned into my own personal midnight spotlight!
