Taking the Mic

The quiet snapped the second a jolt kicked straight through my spine. My fingers, locked rigid for who knows how long, suddenly twitched. I felt the clear plastic waist grip holding me upright, but my hands were completely free. Right next to my stand sat a blue novelty dispenser with my own face on it. I leaned forward just an inch, stretched my right arm out, and gave that blue plastic head a firm, confident tap. It clicked. The beat is officially on. #Vanillaice
