Chasing the Acorn
I squeezed past the heavy front door flap and trotted straight out to the flagstone garden path! Resting on a flat gray paver was a smooth brown acorn wearing a tiny textured cup. I charged right in and gave its curved side a mighty double-paw shove! Clatter-roll—it spun forward across the stone slabs, skittering faster and faster toward a patch of green moss. I dashed after it with a cheerful chirp, diving forward to scoop the spinning nut between both paws just before it tumbled into the dirt!
