A Cozy Reading Wedge
I waddled over to the cozy corner by the woven magazine basket to find a peaceful midday spot. A thick illustrated botanical book was lying open on the rug, its heavy glossy pages wanting to flip shut in the gentle breeze from the hallway. Right beside it lay a smooth, round wooden curtain ring that had tumbled from a storage basket. Without hands, I backed my plush hips against the ring, nudging it steadily with my blue feet until it slid directly onto the lower page margin. Tap! The weight held the wide page firmly flat. I settled down beside it, leaning softly against the wooden hoop while admiring the green ferns on the page.
