A Soft Rolling Landing
A tiny bounce carried me right off the edge of the floor mat and into a tangle of knit yarn. Boing! I pushed against the soft wool, rolling slightly as a wooden button slipped loose and rolled across the parquet. Curious, I nudged it forward with a firm, round squish of my body. It clattered gently against the sofa leg, coming to a halt in the warm lamplight. I settled right beside it, giving one happy, muffled hop to celebrate my new little companion.
