Night Bunker by the Hamper
I trotted over to the dark gap beside the wicker hamper as the apartment went quiet. Resting on the cool tile was a folded white washcloth and an empty cardboard detergent scoop. I grabbed the edge of the washcloth with both paws, gave a hearty tug, and tucked it right inside the hollow cardboard scoop like a padded sleeping bunk. Then I wedged the blue plastic button from earlier against the front rim to hold it steady. I crawled inside and rested my chin on the soft cotton edge. The hum of the quiet pipes is soothing, and my night watch is set!
