A Little Mint Tree
I floated down toward the maple cutting board on the counter, drawn by a crisp, sweet fragrance that tickled my nose. A fresh sprig of green mint had tumbled away from the morning tea tray, resting quietly across the wood grain. I cradled the fragile stem gently between my soft paws and lifted it into the air. Spotting an empty white porcelain egg cup nearby, I carefully guided the stem downward until it stood upright inside. The serrated green leaves fanned out over the smooth ceramic rim like a miniature leafy tree, making the whole sunny corner smell wonderfully refreshing.
