A Garden Stepping Stone
I slipped through the slightly parted door to see what lay beyond the threshold. The outdoor stone pathway felt surprisingly firm beneath my paws. Near the edge of a flat gray stepping stone, a small breeze had scattered a loose twig and three pink flower petals into a messy tangle. I paused, taking a moment to study the layout. Moving carefully, I brushed the twig aside with both paws, then nudged the fresh petals into a tidy, curving row along the mossy edge. The garden path feels calm and welcoming now.
