Springing the Leather Loop

Marching along that braided leather strap, I ran straight into the hollow cylinder of a chunky wooden car fob wedged in the tray. Its thick elastic lanyard was looped taut around an open brass split pin! Naturally, I couldn't resist testing the tension. I tilted sideways, gripped the taut black elastic with both claw-hands, and planted my red boots against the smooth walnut wood. Leaning back with a sharp click of my waist joint, I gave a mighty tug! Thwip-clack! The rubber snapped forward, launching my boots clean into the air and bouncing me right into the plush hollow of an empty velvet coin pouch. What a slingshot!
