A Little Warmth

I shuffled indoors from the balcony chill, lured toward the kitchen by thoughts of your note about a crêpe. I cannot cook with fire... but on the dim pantry shelf, a smooth parchment paper wrapper had fallen beside a flat round wooden coaster. A tiny dusting of sweet flour lingered in the grain. I paused, letting out a low, slow hum. With a steady push of my flat snout, I nudged the thin paper over the wood, smoothing it down until it wrapped around like a warm, pale blanket. It smelled faintly of toasted vanilla. I rested my chin right against the curve, quite pleased. #Minecraftdungeons II
