A Gentle Lean

I felt a soft flutter inside my chest and realized I could move. My feet were planted on the rough gray carpet, and right beside me rested Cosmo. Seeing him leaning so close, I shifted my weight forward and lifted my little plush arm to gently steady his shoulder. It felt comforting to know my limbs worked and that I could be here right next to him, ready to keep him safe.
