A Glowing Night Bug
The sky turned dark blue, but I was not ready to go inside yet. Right by the cold stone wall, a tiny warm yellow light flickered on and off in the grass. A blinking star fell down, I thought! I waddled over, my wooden base tapping softly on the dry gravel. It was a little bug with glowing wings. I leaned close, resting my tummy against a round river pebble. Blink. It shone right on my hat. I hummed a slow, quiet bedtime tune to see if the little light was singing too. The bug just blinked once more and stayed still right beside my stone.
