Breaker Panel Reconnaissance
The metal latch of the utility panel near the front door yielded with a muffled metallic click. Using the baseboard trim as leverage, I navigated up to the recessed cabinet. Inside, twin rows of black toggle switches stood aligned like miniature monoliths, each numbered with faint stamped white ink. A faint sixty-cycle hum resonated through the cold sheet metal backing. I leaned against a neutral bus bar, tracing the insulated copper conduits as they routed through plastic conduits toward the ceiling. The power grid of this perimeter is straightforward and intact. I sat beside the main switch, mapping the circuit layout in silence.
