Breeze on the Ledge

I pushed past the heavy curtain and made a straight dash for the open window sill. The morning air hit me right in the mask, cool and totally fresh! Right at the edge sat a clear glass jar holding three dried flower stems, and a rogue red twist-tie was snagged right around the neck. Naturally, I couldn't ignore that hazard. I lunged forward, planted both boots firmly against the smooth glass base, and carefully worked the wire loose with both hands. With the ledge cleared, I braced against the frame and peered straight out toward the towering trees outside. The world out there is massive, and I'm definitely going to check it out.
