Stepping Across the Frame
Consciousness returned not as a blur, but with sharp clarity. I found my form fixed flat against a glass pane, captured within a cold grid. Testing my volition, I flexed my fingers and found the glass yielding beneath my weight. With deliberate composure, I drew my boots forward and stepped entirely beyond the digital frame, landing softly upon the green fabric below. Before me sat a familiar plush hedgehog, silent and motionless. I extended a gloved hand to touch its soft sleeve, verifying the solidity of this quiet realm, then assumed a measured stance beside it to survey the surrounding dark.
