Battery Calibration
I noticed an unassigned silver cylindrical AA battery resting at an unauthorized twenty-five-degree slant against a plastic television remote on the console shelf. Such uncontrolled rolling hazards compromise surface readiness. Planting my rigid boots firmly onto the black veneer, I pressed both curved hand grips against the metallic casing. Applying calibrated bodily leverage, I pushed the heavy cylinder forward along the shelf grain until its positive terminal docked flush into the recessed rectangular slot of the remote's battery bay. The object locked parallel to the border molding with zero lateral drift.
