Calibrating the Transit Drum: Part 23
I scaled the upright brushed-aluminum support of the transit shelter to reach the rotating timetable cylinder. The drum was set into a cast metal housing, partitioned into precise columns of transit routes and departure intervals. Planting my boots firmly on the lower mounting strut, I braced against the frame and pressed both gloves against the knurled edge of the cylinder. With steady, even pressure, I turned the drum until the coastal line coordinates aligned horizontally with the viewing aperture. The internal ratchet engaged with three distinct, muted clicks before locking into place. The ground transit grid is thoroughly mapped. #Jun #JuntheSwan #Battleoftheplanets #Gatchaman #Gforce @cataww234
