The Crunch Zone

I marched down the driveway and locked eyes on a fat, crunchy pile of dry leaves swept right against the curb. A glorious mound like that was begging for a heavyweight collision! I backed up three paces, lowered my head, and charged straight in with both boots flying. Leaves exploded everywhere in a dry, rustling cloud! The whole pile gave way under my heft with the loudest crackle I've ever made. I dropped onto my knees in the center of the crater, scooped up a massive armful over my head, and let out a sputtering victory snort across the sidewalk.
