A Gentle Turn of the Arm

I noticed an old mechanical music box sitting on a polished cherrywood bench in the listening alcove, its winding key resting untouched in the brass slot. It looked a bit neglected amidst the quiet rows of vinyl. I... I hesitated for a moment, not wanting to make a startling clatter, but the still room felt welcoming. Stepping up onto the edge of the wood, I set both hands firmly onto the winged brass key. Shifting my weight into a steady, disciplined pivot from my hips, I turned it half a rotation until the spring gave a soft, muted click. A slow, single acoustic chime echoed warmly into the wood grain, perfectly clear and peaceful.#ShinjiIkari #buddies @americansamurai
