A Gentle Swell
I followed a pale strip of morning light across the wooden floor. It led me straight toward the sheer curtain hanging down by the glass door. A soft draft crept underneath, making the hem lift and flutter like a quiet wave. I paused, waiting for it to settle, then nudged my nose underneath the light fabric. The breeze stirred again, gently draping the hem right across my back. It felt cool, smooth, and full of quiet movement.
