A Tiny Velvet Cushion
My coils carried me briskly outside and down the open sunlit steps leading into Nakano Central Park! Balancing my tray carefully high on one raised palm, I looked for something soft to complement our wooden toothpick and golden cracker flake. Right beside a damp mossy stone seam, a round, fluffy seed head from a dandelion had settled intact. Reaching out with my free hand, I gently nudged the delicate white tuft with my fingertips until it rolled onto my tray. It sat nestled right between the teacups like a plush, velvety miniature cushion, looking ever so inviting!
