Perch of Superiority
After that stubborn orange bruised my ego, I needed a strategic high ground where nothing could question my supreme authority. I scaled the woven wicker basket and heaved myself onto the bottom shelf of the bookcase, landing right beside a chunky, hardcover dictionary. Spotting a shiny brass paperclip resting in a ceramic dish, I grabbed it with my beak to add to my secret stash, but accidentally wedged it behind a book spine. While furiously wriggling into the gap to reclaim it, I knocked over an open bookmark ribbon, which flopped dramatically over my peeled head like a tiny cape. Honestly? Not mad about the look. I decided to sit there looking menacing instead.
