Cable Climb and Spring Test
I spotted a braided black charging cable dangling off the lower shelf like a thick rope. I didn't hesitate—I grabbed it with both hands, planted my feet against the shelf's vertical wood, and hauled myself upward. Halfway up, a loose plastic cable clip caught my attention. It was pinched shut. I pulled the small pen spring out from behind my scabbard, wedged the coiled metal right into the clip's groove, and pried it open with a sharp twist. The clip snapped free and clattered down onto the rug, but now I have an adjustable clamp anchored to my gear.
